Annual Melbourne Defence Ball

What a night!
Thank you to the committee of the Melbourne Defence Ball for putting on a terrific event last night at the Melbourne Town Hall.
We were honoured to have been recognised, along with the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum and Goorambat Veterans Retreat for our commitment to supporting the veteran community through our surf therapy program.
Thank you to our program sponsors 000 Foundation and Young Veterans for their continued support, it was great to have Chris May and Mathew Keene from these amazing charities at the event with us.
Big thank you to all the businesses who donated prizes to OSS to help with fund raising, your generosity was greatly appreciated:
Oke Surfboards, Ring Custom Surfboards, 5.11 Tactical, Moonah Links Golf Course, Trigger Bros Surfboards, Mornington Golf Club, CASIO G-SHOCK watches,  Quiksilver, Roxy, Tactical Gear Australia, Melbourne River Cruises, Luna Park and Enchanted Adventure.
To the stars of our video clip “Beyond the Waves” thank you for your support and for giving up your time, it was great to see the video on the big screen last night.
And to our amazing photographers and videographers Scott McAulay and Fred Farquhar thank you both for the hard work and many hours that not only went into the making of Beyond the Waves, but the countless hours (and km’s) you’ve both committed to our program since day 1.
To those who won auction prizes supporting us, thank you.
Lastly, much love and gratitude to Prue Latchford at the East Coast Surf School who back in 2021, jumped at the chance to partner with Baz to deliver our 4 week programs to first responders and veterans. Prue and Cassie have been terrific coaches and we are stoked to be gearing up for our next program to kick off in a weeks time after our winter break. With a forecast of 30’c we can’t wait to hit the ocean. Mahalo 🤙🏾
